.... you may want to post this link to the Dana-Farber Cancer Center, which I think provides much more straightforward information than I had found at Sloan-Kettering.
Thanks for your efforts in widening the communication channels!

how this blog works
What is a blog??? As the folks at Blogger who provide this blog explain,
If all this sounds way too complicated and/or geeky, here are some alternatives:
You can also add photos if you want to, like this one taken last summer.
This is a team blog, in other words several people can contribute by posting new messages. Many family members received an email confirmation to join the berlin family blog team from me via "Blogger Invites." After you set up (or connect) to your blogger account, to send messages you login at www.blogger.com "dashboard", click on berlin family blog, then (under Posting) create a new or edit posts that are saved.A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules. In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.Since Blogger was launched, almost five years ago, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.
If all this sounds way too complicated and/or geeky, here are some alternatives:
- Anyone can reply to a posting by clicking on the COMMENTS link at the bottom of the message.
- If you would like to post a new message and don't want to deal with technical hassles, you can email your message to me and I'll put it on the blog for you.
You can also add photos if you want to, like this one taken last summer.

welcome
This is a space for communicating about Carole's cancer. All family members whose email addresses I know have been invited to participate. As some of you may know, a blog is a web log. Anyone can write messages here, or reply to other messages. Messages can have web links to specific web pages, articles, etc. Or you can cut and paste information.
I've been reading some books and will post a summary message this week. But frankly, I've been having some issues with web surfing. Let's start sharing and see where the old "information superhighway" takes us.
